I am Learning Korean Language

by - 8:02 PM

I am self studying the Korean language.  I am always interested in languages. I speak a couple more languages but this time my interest is in Korean language. I have been really interested with the language since our company partnered with a Korean based company and some of the people we are dealing with are Koreans. They are very nice people and warm and I would love to be able to speak their language.

Some of our Korean business partners speaks good English but I will feel really good about myself when I can converse with them well...in their own language. Aside from this personal thirst of learning Korean, I think dealing with another culture enables people in general to gain a more profound understanding of the culture. It is a great edge not only in career but also in personal aspect because studying a foreign language such as Korean, teaches and encourages respect for other people. It fosters an understanding of the interrelation of language and human nature.

I am starting to be forgetful so I'm helping my brain to function better. I'm doing brain puzzles and test whenever I can. Learning a new language is good for our brain. I read a very interesting article recently that says speaking more than one language could prevent Alzheimer's. Scientists have found a link between speaking more than one language and the prevention of Alzheimer’s. So I am off to a really good start :-) It is my dream to later become a Korean language translator.

If you are interested to learn Korean, watch my upcoming posts about it. Maybe we can learn together. I am slowly learning few Korean words at a time and I'll be posting them here. Contact me if you want a learning partner or buddy and we'll have some fun :-) Follow my blog with Bloglovin
