Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Experts recommends that women perform a monthly breast self exam, especially 3-5 days after their period, to look for new lumps and other changes in their breast. This is because, breast cancer is easier to treat the earlier it is found. It is important that women, including men, pay attention to their breast and be aware of the symptoms and signs. In the case of breast cancer, what you don't know can really HURT you. If you detect any tiny lumps in your breast, one that you haven't notice before and one that persists even after your menstrual cycle, see your doctor right away. Remember that men can also develop breast cancer.
